mma
What is MMA? MMA combines the most efficient martial arts and provides a solution for most unarmed combat situations. In our MMA basic training we concentrate on the simplest basic principles of the fight.
With us you will learn distance management and footwork from boxing and Thai boxing. Because whoever dictates the distance of the fight with good footwork can determine where the fight takes place.
Should the fight develop into a distance with close physical contact, we will teach you how to control a person using the basic principles of wrestling. So you always have solutions ready for the most diverse situations. Of particular importance are the basic workings of pressure and counter-pressure and how to manipulate them to your advantage.
MMA is all about gaining or regaining dominance when you've had to relinquish control. We will provide you with the appropriate tools for this.
How can you gain as much control over a person in battle? The simplest answer probably lies in wrestling and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). If you manage to pin the other person with their back to the ground, you deprive them of a lot of options for action. So with us you will learn the most important positions of ground fighting and how to actively initiate this with holds and throws.
But what happens when you are lying with your back on the ground? The top priority for beginners should always be to get out of the situation. With MMA Basic you will learn techniques to create space to stand up. In our BJJ and wrestling courses you will also learn techniques that will enable you to turn the tables and turn an inferior situation into a superior one.
The MMA Basic offer is a colorful mixture of basic principles and techniques that enable you to find your way in a physical sporting struggle. At the same time, you develop the necessary fitness and improve your own body awareness.
Does that all sound martial at first? Sure, we don't close our eyes to the harsh reality of an actual fight. We also don't want to ignore the aspect of self-defense, so our techniques can also be used in self-defense against a single unarmed person. However, MMA is now a popular competitive sport with clear rules, so we focus our training on fair sporting competition, which differs significantly from a real self-defense situation.

Fitness training with the Vestside Warriors:
It goes without saying that martial artists want and need to improve their strength and conditioning outside of regular training; That's why we offer the option of weight training and aerobic training in our functional fitness course. Ideal for every hobby and professional athlete.
Under the guidance of our fitness and athletics trainer you will achieve your personal goals in the areas of fitness, strength, muscle and coordination development, as well as weight reduction and health prevention and rehabilitation.
Thai boxing
Thai boxing has a very long tradition and has spread worldwide as an efficient martial art . It uses many different techniques and is mainly done standing. Punching techniques are used with the fists and the elbow, as well as kicking techniques primarily with the shin. Knee strikes, grip and throwing techniques in the clinch are also taught. We at the Vestside Warriors have two Thai boxing courses. In the beginner's course, the basics of punching and kicking techniques are taught, with great emphasis being placed on correct technical execution. The aim is to be able to use punches and kicks effectively. We mainly use different combinations of punches and kicks to learn how to execute the techniques fluently. The trainers Ibrahim Bakci (Ibo) and Jannis Clement approach the trainees again and again to make corrections and enable improvements. Every student should be picked up at their level of knowledge so that everyone gets the help they need. The beginner's course gives an excellent first insight into the world of Thai boxing and it's just fun to work on that this is our most attended course for many years. Many of the techniques can be transferred one-to-one to MMA, which makes this course very useful for those interested in MMA.
The advanced course gets even more down to business. Advanced techniques and combinations are taught here. The degree of exertion and sporting challenge increases significantly compared to the beginners' course. Fighters who want to take part in sporting competitions in the K1 fight format are trained here. They will be supported by our experienced trainer Ibo and our MMA amateur fighter Jannis. It is particularly important to us to make the transition from novice to fighter as smooth as possible as we aim to build a roster of regular competitive fighters.
Anyone who wants to be successful in this course must have courage, strength and, above all, will to complete the metamorphosis into a fighter. Wrestling is a martial art for everyone
In wrestling, it doesn't matter if you're new, experienced, or a pro. Your gender is also not decisive in order to be motivated to participate in our wrestling training and to learn this martial art. BJJ and No-Gi - an ideal training for everyone
Come to our BJJ and No-Gi classes and show your motivation with our workout and technique exercises. Your gender plays just as little a role as your training level. Newcomers are just as welcome as advanced amateurs or professional fighters. Give it a try and prepare yourself for a tough workout.
kids training
The children's training is an introduction to the various martial arts of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Here we bring the children closer to sport in a playful way. Sports include boxing, wrestling and grappling. One sport is always trained for a few hours and then the other sport is trained for a few hours, and as with MMA, we also combine the sports in a few hours to create the connection. In general, we make sure that the children's solidarity is encouraged and that they train together and support each other.
